The Bank of England’s (BoE) monetary policy committee voted to keep its bank rate unchanged today (December 14), at 5.25%.
The monetary policy committee voted 6–3 for the hold, with the minority favouring a further 25 basis point increase. The November MPC meeting produced an identical split, with the same three members voting for another rate increase.
